1960's stunning stone mosaic console table, featuring a intricate inlay pattern of stylized figures.

Brass plated legs with pietra dura marble and stone inlay top. The technique, known as pietra dura (Italian for "hard stone"), involves inlaying precisely cut and fitted, highly polished colored stones to create images.
Similar works have been attributed to Renor Hockspocher, an artist who fled Europe during WWII and settled in Brazil.
The mosaic is crafted from a variety of semi-precious stones including marble, agate, amethyst, lapis lazuli, and malachite, set into a white marble base.
This specific design features a tribal or cultural narrative, depicting African or Brazilian figures in various poses, including dancing and hunting.
