A long teak sideboard designed in the spirit of Scandinavian modernism combines functionality with a balanced, timeless aesthetic. Its generous proportions—measuring 240 cm in length—create a strong visual presence while maintaining a clean, horizontal lightness that does not overwhelm the space.
The front layout is both practical and well thought out. On each side, sliding doors provide easy access to spacious storage compartments, while the central section features three drawers, ideal for organizing smaller items. This configuration makes the piece not only visually appealing but also highly functional for everyday use.
The piece has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The restoration was carried out by a talented and experienced carpenter with over 20 years of experience. Thanks to these treatments, the sideboard looks stunning and will serve its new owner for many years without fear of damage or wear from everyday use.
Crafted from teak wood, the sideboard carries a warm, natural character. Teak is valued for its durability and resistance, as well as for its distinctive grain, which develops even more depth over time. Here, it works in harmony with the simple form of the piece—free from unnecessary ornamentation, yet clearly focused on quality craftsmanship and proportion.
The style can be defined as classic Scandinavian Modern: minimal, functional, and refined in its details. It integrates easily into both vintage-inspired interiors and more contemporary spaces, where it can act as a strong yet understated focal point.
One of its key strengths is versatility. It works equally well as a main storage unit in a living room, an elegant base for decorative objects, lighting, or audio equipment, or as a practical piece in a dining area or office. Its length provides substantial storage capacity while still maintaining a sense of visual lightness often missing in more bulky, modern furniture.
This is a piece that doesn’t rely on excess to make an impression—its impact comes from proportion, material, and thoughtful design.
