Rendered in classic … Read more A beautifully detailed early 19th-century English transferware platter in the sought-after “Italian Buildings” pattern by P. Hall.

Rendered in classic black transfer on cream earthenware, the central cartouche features a romantic pastoral scene with figures in a garden landscape overlooking an architectural vista—framed by an abundant floral and scrollwork border typical of the period.

This piece carries the printed maker’s mark on the reverse and dates to approximately 1820–1840, placing it firmly within the golden age of Staffordshire transferware production.

The scale and crispness of the transfer make this an excellent display piece for layering on a wall, styling on a table, or incorporating into a collected ironstone/transferware vignette.
