the tabletop is assembled using exposed wooden pegs on the edge, a traditional joinery technique that demonstrates meticulous craftsmanship. The base, consisting of four straight, square-section legs connected by a low stretcher, adopts a decidedly modernist aesthetic: no curves, no ornamentation, just clean, sharp angles. This understated geometry connects this farmhouse table to the brutalist-inspired institutional furniture of the 1950s and 60s.
