What a find! RARE. Royal Doulton produced this whiskey jug for Dewars and Sons Whiskey Distillery in 1894. The jug is 1/4 gallon capacity and stands 5.5" tall, 5.25" wide and the diameter of the base is 4.75:. Doulton Lambeth England, as stamped on the bottom, made this a 'silicon' ware jug which is much sturdier than regular stoneware, in ancient Greek or Corinthian style. It has a matte black and brown finish with black pictographs of various animals. The number, 356, is stamped on the bottom.
This piece is in pristine condition - no chips, cracks or scratches.
