Its once-black finish has softened into a deep, timeworn surface with warm brown undertones, visible wear, and a rich, authentic patina. Across the top, much of the original finish has worn away, revealing the natural wood color and grain beneath. This contrast gives the cabinet exceptional character and tells the story of its long history.

With its substantial proportions and understated design, this 18th-century Chinese cabinet can be used as a sideboard, buffet cabinet, entryway console, storage cabinet, or statement piece in a living room, dining room, or large hallway.
