Rolf Palm (1930-2018), produced in his private Mölle workshop in
Skåne, Sweden, circa 1960s. Authenticated by the impressed "Palm"
studio stamp and the "STENGODS" maker's mark (Swedish for
stoneware).

The cylindrical hand-thrown body is finished in a rare matte
blue-grey glaze with subtle earthen speckling throughout. The
lower third features Palm's signature horizontally incised ribbing,
creating a tactile contrast against the smooth upper form. The
blue-grey palette is among the scarcer Palm colorways - most
documented examples from his Mölle studio appear in brown or
black-brown tones.

Rolf Palm is one of the quiet masters of Swedish mid-century
studio pottery. Alongside his personal studio practice in Mölle,
he worked with AJ/Höganäs, where he became associated with a
generation of Swedish ceramicists including John Andersson,
Anne Nilsson, Lisa Larsson, and Gunnar Borg. Palm's studio work
is held in Swedish design collections and appears regularly at
1stDibs, Pamono, and leading Scandinavian design galleries.
