A 19th century French faience fleur-de-lis wall pocket, commonly used as a wall vase for flowers or as a decorative item. Hand-painted in beautiful vivid colors of blue, green, yellow and orange on white ground and decorated with a coat of arms with the phrase Je me souviens (I remember). In good condition with minor glaze loss. Made by Alcide Chaumeil, a significant French faience artist whose work is highly regarded by collectors, often mentioned alongside other notable producers such as Quimper, Desvres, and Malicorne. Unglazed back is marked CA. Circa 1890-1900.
