Executed in a rich, vibrant Ruby Red cased crystal, the piece features an elegant egg-shaped form that offers a striking play of light and depth. These crystal boxes were traditionally used to present engagement rings. They remain today a wonderfully romantic way to present significant jewels.
​The two halves of the box are joined by a classic gilt-brass ormolu mount, secured with the factory's signature relief-cast bow clasp. This diminutive box represents the high-standard lead crystal production typical of the Moselle region of France, blending functional vanity storage with the timeless aesthetic of the Belle Époque.

Markings: Features the authentic acid-etched circular factory mark on the underside: "Cristallerie de Lorraine."
Material: Full Lead Cased Crystal; Gilt Brass
Dimensions: 2.75" High x 1.75" Wide x 1.75" Deep
Condition: Very Good vintage condition. The crystal retains exceptional clarity and color. There is a very minor, inconspicuous flea-bite chip located on the side where the crystal meets the gilt rim. This does not detract from the structural integrity or the overall display quality of the piece. The hinge remains tight and the bow clasp is fully functional. See less
