Based in New York, he was famous for lacquer-finished pieces often favored by celebrities and top tier clients. He frequently integrated Asian influences, bring a "exotic modernism" to the American scene. I found this Mid-Century piece in a shop call Little Paris in West Hollywood California. Sadly it shuttered it's brick and mortar shop, and went on line like so many other shop owners. The only thing I've added to this piece is to upholster the original dull and faded former fabric.
