I am offering for sale this exceptional and authentic piece by the brothers robert and jean cloutier, emblematic figures of post-war ceramics.
the cloutier brothers left their mark on art history by working during a pivotal era, at the heart of the golden age of french ceramics. Their path intersected with those of the greatest artists: they thrived in the vibrant vallauris art scene, at a time when pablo picasso was revolutionizing the art of ceramics. This artistic affinity is evident in their creative freedom and the originality of their glazes.
this ceramic piece features a magnificent stylized sunflower motif in relief.
a subtle palette typical of their workshop: shades of old rose, powdery mauve, and deep plum with a glossy finish.
high-quality glazed ceramic with a long turned wooden handle (original patina), secured by a ceramic ferrule.

very good vintage condition. The ceramic is sound, with no major chips. The wooden handle is solid and has a beautiful natural patina. A small chip in the wood is visible in the photos. This piece has an attribution mark,
