Measuring a substantial … Read more An exceptional, large-scale authentic antique bronze elephant bell (idiophone) from the Karen Hill Tribe of Northern Thailand. Measuring a substantial 12 inches in height, this "Master" grade bell was designed for a lead elephant, producing a deep, resonant tone capable of carrying through dense jungle.

The bell features a heavy, sand-cast bronze body with a natural aged patina and traditional geometric "zig-zag" motifs cast into the shoulder and base. The interior retains its original-style heavy clapper. It is presented on a 16-inch high bentwood arched frame with a solid dark-stained wood base. A museum-quality example of Southeast Asian ethnographic metalwork, perfect as a focal piece for Global Minimalist, Organic Modern, or Wabi-Sabi interiors.
