This stunning large circa 1870 Chinese export tea caddy is a magnificent example of exquisite craftsmanship and artistry. The caddy features a wonderful hand-applied black lacquer finish, adorned with gold gilt painted court scenes that showcase incredible intricate details throughout. Each scene depicts traditional Chinese court life, with figures, architecture, and landscapes rendered in stunning precision and elegance.
