A distinguished pair of architectural andirons manufactured by the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company of Meriden, Connecticut. This set features a high-relief hammered "stippled" texture on cast iron, a hallmark of the American metalwork movement of the late 1800s.
The form is rooted in Neoclassical design, characterized by square, tapered obelisk-form columns topped with solid brass spherical finials resting on architectural stepped collars. The contrast between the dark, textured iron and the polished geometry of the brass balls offers a sophisticated transitional aesthetic suitable for both historic and contemporary interiors.
Each piece is stamped with the authentic B&H triangle hallmark on the rear billet bars (dogs). These are heavy, full-scale hearth accessories designed for significant log support.
