It features Perrier water and is illustrated by Bernard Villemot (1911-1989), a well-known mid-century French poster artist. Villemot created wonderful advertisements for leading companies such as Bally Shoes, Air France, Perrier and Orangina. His use of strong dynamic colors and simple fluid forms are highly recognizable. Villemot’s minimalist yet bold style uses clean silhouettes, refined lines, and carefully balanced color to focus the viewer’s attention to the image. His posters and magazine advertisements are now widely reproduced as they are so likeable; original works are coveted and collectible. This image is original to 1971. It is NOT a recent reproduction.
