Each drawer is shaped in a serpentine form referred to by the French as "en arbalette" after an archer's bow. The drawer fronts are carved from solid walnut, a remarkable level of craftsmanship for a piece of this scale, while the molded top follows the same elegant movement across the façade.
Cabriole legs, a scalloped apron, and floral carving across the lower front lend the piece its unmistakable provincial French character, with beautifully worked drawer fronts and classic brass hardware adding further depth and refinement.
