Decorate a desk, library shelf, or lady’s office with this elegant antique bronze sculpture titled La Cruche Cassée (The Broken Pitcher). Crafted in France circa 1880, the composition depicts a young maiden seated on a naturalistic trunk-form base, her head gently bowed in a moment of quiet reflection as she holds the broken vessel at her side. The graceful pose, flowing garments, and sensitive modeling exemplify the refined academic style of the period.
