The “Nikol” console by Luciano Frigerio represents one of the highest points of his research between art and design: a perfect balance between architectural structure, sculptural material, and aesthetic tension.
Part of the renowned Cellini Arte collection, this console was created as a limited edition of 99 pieces, making it from the very beginning an object for a select few, and today, a true collector’s piece.
The gilded brass structure supports three levels of smoked glass, suspended with an almost unreal lightness. But the heart of the work lies at its center: a bronze casting with a primitive and organic character, a form that recalls archaic symbols, ancestral engravings, timeless signs.
The central sculpture creates rhythm, depth, and identity. It is the point where the object ceases to be functional and becomes pure artistic expression.
The contrast between the geometric precision of glass and brass and the almost “brutal” materiality of the bronze generates an extremely powerful visual tension.
It is precisely this dialogue that makes Frigerio so unique in the landscape of Italian design.
The “Nikol” console is conceived to be experienced frontally, yet it changes completely from every angle: reflections, transparencies, and volumes overlap, creating a dynamic object that is never static.
Complete with certificate of authenticity, this work perfectly embodies Frigerio’s philosophy: bringing sculpture into furniture, without compromise.
A piece for true collectors.
