about the designer

p.e.l. Izeren (1886–1943) designed numerous works for de genneper molen and remained with the firm into the late 1930s. Housed in a former watermill in gennep, the company began as a sawmill before expanding around 1917 into the making of small furnishings - marketed in their catalogues as “supplementary furniture.” these refined tables, stands, and cabinets soon became the heart of their production, with izeren’s distinctive sculptural designs among the most enduring contributions.
