A charming little design gem
Luigi Colani designed just about everything; with this beautifully shaped little desk, he achieved a wonderful symbiosis of practicality, durability, and design.
The desk is height-adjustable, making it suitable for both children and adults (up to 1.90m tall).
It can accompany its owner from preschool through working life – thanks to its compact size, it always finds a place in children's rooms, student apartments, and home offices.
Other clever features: notebooks, books, and small items can be stored under the writing surface – so tidying up is always quick and easy.
Larger items can be stored in the rear compartment – which is lockable, but unfortunately, the key is missing.
However, the original desk lamp is included and fully functional. It can be inserted on the right side and is easy to remove – and can also be stored in the rear compartment.
The ergonomically angled writing surface, made of Flötotto's signature reddish-brown Pagholz wood, can be positioned horizontally for crafts or—more practical these days—for a laptop.
The storage compartment cover can also be tilted to serve as a support for books or similar items.
Freestanding
Overall, this table is in good, used condition—with typical signs of wear, visible in the detail photo: scratches in the lamp's finish, and the Pagholz surface was decorated with numerous stickers (as was common at the time ;) )—these have been removed but leave faint marks.
