Conceived in the 1960s by the designer and his wife as a sophisticated series of home accessories, the pop-art influence is clear. Thanks to painstaking historically accurate lines of inquiry and development conducted in partnership with roberta lietti, curator of the ico parisi design archives, cassina re-edits a cylindrical vase with an opening in the shape of a mouth, a single-stem vase characterized by a hollow contour in the shape of a hand, and a pin tray that reproduces the cast of an open hand, poised to receive small everyday items. Imbued with striking visual and chromatic impact, these elegant, functional objects are made of hand-decorated enamelled ceramic reminiscent of a period characterized by innovative tactile exploration applied to design.
