Fresh from a phenomenal local Rye New York estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this gorgeous PAIR … Read more Fresh from a phenomenal local Rye New York estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this gorgeous PAIR of Antique American Silver Plated Bronze Sconces. They are American made early 20th century, done very much in English style. Solid bronze of highest quality, they were originally silver plated, the finish has faded, but looks striking as the aged patina! Featuring large oval Coat of Arms type shield in the center, crosses with an military / civil decoration award sash, topped with a five point Royal Crown. Sconces have a pair of candle form lights each, producing ample light. They are Caldwell quality through and through, listed elsewhere on internet as such (for $3k+++), but stamped on the back "C & A" (please see maker mar photo). They are wired for electricity, wiring is very recent, wall mounts on the back. We have these displayed in our shop, and do not know how long they will last. Good condition, showing age / use wear, silvering mostly worn (please see photos). Size of each wall sconce is 13" height overall 10" wide, 7.5" deep coming from the wall, plate being is 11.25" x 8" wide. Fine jewelry quality pair that will spice up any antique or mid-century modern setting. See less
