This jug features … Read more Gorgeous antique Majolica hand painted pottery large size jug/pitcher produced by Wardle & Co. circa mid-late 19thc. This jug features Wardle's well known bird and fan pattern. The subject matter and vibrant colors reflect the Victorian Aesthetic movement which was very popular at the time. The jug is quite heavy and has been well cared for. Other than some normal crazing and areas where some paint has flaked off, the pitcher does not have any chips or hairline cracks that I can see nor any repairs. It is from my own personal collection. It stands 9.5" high x 9.5" wide from the spout to the handle. The depth is roughly 8.5" Would look lovely filled with a bouquet of fresh flowers from the garden! See less
