While the paper shows some aging around the edges, the colors are strong with no fading. It is signed in the plate in the lower right corner.

Maurice Utrillo was a French painter of the School of Paris who specialized in cityscapes. In 1928, the French government awarded him the Cross of the Légion d'honneur. His paintings are held in the collections of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Sompo Museum of Art in Tokyo, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, among others.
