This 19th century cabinet, retrieved from the Shanxi Province in Northern China, is handmade from solid catalpa wood using traditional tenon and mortise joinery. The entire front is adorned with hand-painted images of lively landscapes, figures, and auspicious objects set against a deep brown finish. The interior is thoughtfully organized with 2 shelves.
