Late 18th century oak chest of drawers with hand-carved decoration from England.
This is an absolute stunner! The top has hand carved banding with a beveled edge, surrounding a nicely grained top. This follows down to the case, which is exquisite as well. the sides have hand carved banding as well, that is very unusual and truly adds so much to this piece.
The front of the case has two over three drawers configuration. All of the drawers have beveled edges and are hand decorated with a central panel with wonderful carving and the most gorgeous hand cast brass hardware in the shape of lion's heads. The piece is supported on bracket feet.
Such an elegant piece with lovely patina.
