The original painting is signed and features a Bengal Tiger standing among Kelly Green tall grasses. He is pictured from the front and the face with the piercing eyes is magnificent. We love statement pieces here at Vintage Home and this painting delivers. It’s framed in a hand-carved wood frame from Mexico which sets it off perfectly. There are a couple places in the paint on the face that began to peel and we had them professionally secured. Additionally there was a small tear in the velvet that was patched on the back side. These are consistent with a velvet painting from the 1950s and now there is no indication of these imperfections from the front.
