This iconic prewar cooler has the unmistakable early Westinghouse form collectors look for, including a one-piece lid hinged in the middle, rounded corners, open underside for bottle storage, and a galvanized steel tank with bottom drain plug.

The interior retains its Westinghouse stamp, “W-ODB,” consistent with May 1938 production. This is an ice-cooled model with no refrigeration equipment, designed to hold approximately 102 bottles and 90 lbs. of ice. The underside of the unit is open for additional soda storage, a defining feature of the Westinghouse Standard.

Included with the cooler is a vintage Starr X bottle opener with box, shown in the photos, marked Patent No. 2,333,088, adding an additional period Coca-Cola accessory to the set.

This is an outstanding example of early Coca-Cola advertising with strong scale, iconic branding, and excellent collector appeal. It works beautifully as a statement piece in a bar, game room, kitchen, covered patio, retail setting, or curated Americana collection.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with beautifully aged character consistent with use and age. The cooler retains strong color, crisp embossed lettering, and impressive overall presentation. Visible wear includes scuffs, scratches, small dings, finish wear, and minor scattered oxidation, all in keeping with its vintage commercial use and adding to its authentic patina. The top shows some minor dents from age and handling. The interior shows minor wear from use. The included bottle opener and box show vintage wear consistent with age. Overall, the piece presents exceptionally well and has excellent decorative and collector appeal. See less
