These … Read more A striking pair of 31 inch mid century Asian brass altar, candlesticks, acquired in the 1960s in Hong Kong/Vietnam. These substantial ceremonial pieces feature solid brass construction, a wide 8 inch radius base for excellent stability, and beautifully detailed, embossed, dragon and geometric motifs characteristic of south east Asia metalwork of that period.
These tall, architectural, silhouettes, make them ideal as a statement, floor, candlestick, entryway, accent, or a dramatic decor, flanking the fireplace, or alter. Their warm patina reflects decades of age in office, often statistically, adding depth in character, without compromising the crispness of the engraved details.
