This exquisite late 19th century plant stand was crafted by the National Brass and Iron Works (NB&IW) in Reading PA. A quintessential example of Victorian Renaissance Revival, it features the iconic 725x pattern with highly detailed dragon head terminals and an intricate lower spider-web gallery. The piece retains it's original onyx stone top, which remains a rare find. The stone displays the deep, translucent characteristics of authentic period onyx fitting within the ornate cast iron frame. This heavy gauge iron piece features a dark, rich antique patina that has developed over its 130-year history.
Onyx measures 8x8x3/4"
