This is a Knoll Saarinen Dining Table in black Portoro marble. An authentic example of Eero Saarinen’s iconic mid-century modern pedestal design, produced by Knoll.
The table features a richly veined Portoro marble top with dramatic natural patterning, set on Saarinen’s signature sculptural tulip base in black. Designed to eliminate the “slum of legs,” this piece offers a clean, architectural profile that works in both modern and classic interiors.
This is a substantial, high-quality piece with excellent presence. The marble top shows beautiful variation unique to Portoro stone. Overall in good vintage condition with light wear consistent with use; please review photos for detail.
