For sale is a beautiful, pair of vintage Art Nouveau posters by the legendary Alphonse Mucha. These are high-quality mid-century reproductions printed prior to 1977 in very good condition.
The original printer's credit "F. Champenois Paris" is at the bottom of the Bières de la Meuse print. These pieces were part of a high-end decorative series (similar to Panodecor editions) during the mid-20th-century Art Nouveau revival. These prints were obtained in 1977 from a family member.
The Pair Includes:
1. Bières de la Meuse (1897): One of Mucha’s most famous commercial works featuring his signature "macaroni" hair style and floral motifs.
2. Monaco-Monte Carlo (1897): A stunning travel advertisement for the P.L.M. railway, known for its intricate flower border and Mediterranean colors.
