Offered is a superb mid centuryMexican Sterling Silver Double Bird Handle Bowl by Tane Orfebres.
Tane Orfebres, is considered the 'Tiffany of Mexico', a symbol of Mexican craftsmanship, high quality, and luxury. Founded in 1942 in Mexico City, this company is still in operation today, continuing to craft luxurious silver home decor items.
Double bird handled bowls, a popular motif with Mexican silver, may be based on Aztec pottery designs. The bowl is stamped on the bottom 'STERLING', eagle Mexican sterling hallmark, '925', ADM(initials of the silver shop that made it), 'TANE', and 'MEXICO'.
