A 1989 acrylic on paper diptych painting, titled West, by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Each panel of this diptych features an abstracted landscape scene of a dusty sky and a field full of reds, yellows, and greens. Unframed, this piece is signed to the lower right, titled to the lower left, and dated verso.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
