This 1970s mixed-metal work is a masterclass in the 'Brutalist-Boutique' style, featuring a dynamic arrangement of cocktail stems, torch-cut olives, and hand-brazed picks in brass, copper, and steel.

While unsigned, the piece displays all the definitive hallmarks of Artisan House production—including the characteristic torch-cut edges and intricate multi-layered construction. With its deep vintage patina and substantial scale, this sculpture serves as a witty, high-end focal point for a mid-century home bar, executive office, or lounge. During its tenure in the historic 1955 Hugh Stubbins 'Idea Home,' this sculpture was a focal point of the interior breakfast nook for most of the year. However, reflecting the seamless indoor-outdoor living of Mid-Century design, it was moved seasonally to the patio. Sheltered under the home’s deep 3-foot eaves during Eugene’s dry summer months, it served as a standout accompaniment to the home’s Rattan and Brown Jordan collections—proving its versatility as both a refined interior artwork and a sophisticated covered-patio accent.

The piece is in excellent condition without dings, nicks or scratches. All of the olive are solidly intact and two have the pimento red paint. See less
