A striking ebonized obelisk-form étagère by Baker Furniture from the Stately Homes Collection, inspired by classical Egyptian Revival design.
The tall, dramatically tapered silhouette creates a strong architectural presence, while open shelving provides display space for books, objects, and collections. The lower section incorporates enclosed storage, and the richly ebonized finish is complemented by finely detailed classical ornament.
An unusual and highly decorative Baker design that works equally well as a bookcase, display étagère, or architectural accent.
Very good vintage condition overall with age-appropriate surface wear. There is localized finish loss along a rear vertical seam, as shown in the detail photograph. This is on the back of the piece and does not affect structural integrity or its front-facing presentation.
