A 1980s acrylic on paper painting by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract depiction of a landscape features deep shades of green, with pops of red and purple. Unframed, this piece is signed to the lower right and marked "2" to the bottom left.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
