This iconic 1957 design by Eero Saarinen is colloquially known as the “Tulip Table,” and more formally as the Saarinen Pedestal Table, born from Saarinen’s desire to declutter dining design as it existed in the 1950s. The Pedestal Collection is comprised of coffee tables, side tables, and dining tables, such as the one shown here. This petite dining table, with its 36-inch top, is perhaps the most versatile size in Knoll’s production today.
This table features a phenomenal polished Arabescato marble top, perhaps the most popular marble offered by Knoll today. Arabescato marble is known for its deep, swirling gray veining, which elegantly contrasts against clean white fields of stone.
Whether used as a bistro table for two or as an elegant foyer table, this petite Saarinen Tulip Table is a versatile addition to any inspired home.
