This is a great pair of 20th-century Chinese Cantonese (Famille Rose) porcelain garden seats circa 1940's. Each stool has a pierced decoration to the top and sides whereby the cut-out design is in the shape of a Chinese coin symbol for inviting wealth with lucky Feng Shui. Both of the stools have fine incredible hand-painted detailing surrounding scenes of numerous birds flying around garden flowers and branches with butterflies and insects. The wonderful bold hand-painted classical Chinese motifs are in an abundance of colors; pink, purple, blue, orange, green, and yellow set on a slight crackle finish. Each stool is marked with a number in red. ( 52 and 53). The pair of stools would make a wonderful addition to a patio, garden, and or outdoor space. The set of 2 stools can be used as additional seating, side tables, and or plant stands for indoors and or outdoors.
