A rare and refined art deco stoneware vase designed by anna-lisa thomson for upsala ekeby, sweden, circa 1935. Model 3103, produced only in limited quantities, exemplifies thomson’s mastery of form and glaze during her early modernist period. The vase features a sculptural, faceted silhouette with a softly tapered body, finished in a beautifully mottled beige glaze with subtle tonal variation. Striking double-scroll handles in a glossy terracotta red provide a bold contrast, adding both movement and expressive character to the piece. This design reflects thomson’s signature balance of architectural structure and organic surface texture, making it a standout example of swedish art deco ceramics. Marked to the underside “ekeby 3103.” dimensions: height: 6.7 in (17 cm) diameter: 6.7 in (17 cm) condition: good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. A highly collectible and visually compelling piece, ideal for collectors of scandinavian ceramics and early 20th-century design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
