A Louis Philippe style piece, circa 1850, understated with simple curves.

The solid walnut top consists of a large plank within a slightly darker frame, 26 mm thick. The front corners are rounded.

It has four all-wood drawers.

The top drawer, with its curved profile, is smaller than the other three, which are identical.

The three large drawers are fitted with double knob handles in gilt brass and a working lock; one key is included.

This antique piece had been restored in the past, specifically the rear legs. Recently, this chest of drawers has been completely sanded, treated, cleaned, and varnished. A new surface finish has been applied to the top, sides, and front; the clear bistro varnish provides protection against stains and dents while preserving the natural patina of the wood and the marks of time—the history of the piece. The drawer interiors have been sanded and protected with a matte, clear varnish.

This chest of drawers has been restored, is durable, and fully functional.
