Pair of 19th century Swedish sideboards crafted in pine. Each cabinet features two doors with traditional fluted carved panel details and a clean, simple form. The cabinets are raised on slightly tapered fluted feet.
A newer professionally applied layered white painted finish with faint gray undertones has been added. The surface is lightly distressed throughout, revealing natural pine beneath and adding depth consistent with age.
The original locks are present and function stiffly, doors fit somewhat loosely due to minor shifting in the wood. The buyer may choose to use the keys as pulls only. On one cabinet, the right-hand door sits slightly forward and does not close tightly, though it remains secure.
The pair has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready to use. Finding a matched pair is uncommon.
The interiors each include one long fixed shelf. The backs show separation of planks consistent with age.
Typical age related cracks (see tops), scratches, and wear are visible throughout but do not impact function.
