The urn rises from a shaped square base supported by four paw feet, lending it a stately and architectural presence. The copper body has developed a warm amber-brown patina through age and use, complemented by finely cast brass mounts. A decorative band encircles the upper body, while two graceful scroll handles with turned hardwood grips provide both function and visual balance.

The brass spigot features a swept handle with a small polished wooden grip, and the interior retains its lift-out fitting with conforming finial. Originally designed for use on a dining room sideboard or parlour table, pieces such as this were central to Victorian entertaining.

Today, this type of urn serves as a striking decorative object—perfect for kitchens, dining rooms, or butler’s pantries—bringing a sense of history and timeless sophistication to any interior.

Condition:
