The interior features a large amount of storage with adjustable five shelves... excellent for storing clothing, linens, books or dishware. The brass hinges and key escutcheons are original to the piece. The old oak has a lovely rich patina with random small scratches and imperfections in the wood from age and use. The left door latches closed while the right door locks with a tasseled key. The sides of the wardrobe are paneled. The crown is removable. The cabinet stands on block feet.
The interior shelves measure 49" x 12"
This piece could be used in many different applications within a home... bedroom, dining room, living room or even a kitchen. The curtains are removable, if you wanted to display books or dishware and have them visible when the doors are closed. Currently pale blue and white striped curtains face out while blue, white and gray striped curtains are on the interior, but the curtains can be reversed.
