This bench reflects the refined design language of the Vienna Secession and is associated with the work of Josef Maria Olbrich. The gently curved armrests and rhythmic vertical elements exemplify the movement’s balance between geometry and craftsmanship.
The frame retains a warm, natural patina. The upholstery is traditionally executed with coil springs over jute webbing and burlap support, and remains in good, usable condition.
A matching pair of armchairs from the same suite is available in a separate listing, offering the possibility to form a rare and complete Secessionist seating ensemble.
