The lithograph print fine art poster is published by The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, printed in 1984 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an artwork image originally created by Kupka in 1909 - 1910 titled " Planes by Colors Large Nude ", copyright Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, New York, poster design by Malcom Grear Designs.

Frantisek Kupka ( 1871 - 1957 ) was a Czech Modernist painter and graphic artist. he was a pioneer of the Abstract Art Movement and co founder of Cubist Orphism. Kupka's Abstract works arose from a base of Realism, and later evolved into pure Abstract Art. He worked as an illustrator of books and posters in his early years in Paris.

Beginning in 1936 with his work being included in the exhibition " Cubism and Abstract Art " at The Museum of Modern Art New York, his artworks gained international recognition. He had strong interest in color theory and freeing colors from descriptive associations which influenced other artists of his time such as Robert and Sonia Delaunay. Art works by Kupka are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print lithograph print framed fine art poster measures 32 1/2" W X 27" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV Protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern bleached white oak box style wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
