Crafted in glazed earthenware, the vase features a softly hexagonal architectural form with subtly rounded edges. The surface is finished in an ivory-toned craquelé glaze, prized in French Art Deco ceramics for its tactile depth and visual nuance. Two opposing vertical relief panels animate the body, each depicting stylised foliage and berry motifs rendered in a restrained Streamline Moderne idiom. The design reflects the period’s synthesis of natural themes with geometric simplification—hallmarks of late 1920s and 1930s French decorative arts. The vase is unsigned, however a faint impressed style number is present to the base, consistent with documented Orchies factory production of the period. Condition: Good vintage condition. One small chip to the inside rim. No cracks or structural issues. Dimensions: Height: 9.25 in (23.5 cm) Diameter: 6.5 in (16.5 cm) An elegant and sculptural example of French Art Deco pottery, suitable as a standalone decorative object or for floral display.
