A bold and colourful Murano glass bowl by Archimede Seguso, crafted in Italy during the 1960s using the traditional sommerso technique. The form blends layers of translucent white alabastro glass—named after the softly glowing, semi-opaque stone—with a vivid inner core of deep rose pink, all encased in clear crystal. The bowl’s organic silhouette is defined by four gently arching lobes that curve inward toward the centre, forming a shape reminiscent of a four-leaf clover or stylised flowerhead. Fluid, balanced, and symmetrical from every angle, it captures the essence of 1960s Murano glass design, where sculptural form and saturated colour take precedence over applied ornament. A strong example of Seguso’s mid-century work, this piece reflects his sensitivity to material, translucency, and tone. Depending on the light, the alabastro layers shift between milky opalescence and warm blush, highlighting the subtle complexities of the submerged glass. Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips or structural damage. Minor superficial wear to the polished base, consistent with age and use. Dimensions: Width: 12 cm Depth: 12 cm Height: 6 cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
