Lagerstedt (j.l.h. – joh. L. Höglund), sweden, circa 1930s. This elegant cylindrical box features a beautifully proportioned form with a softly polished surface and a warm, natural patina. A finely incised band encircles the upper section, providing a subtle decorative contrast to the otherwise minimal, modernist design. The lid is topped with a distinctive knurled handle, lending both a tactile quality and a strong machine-age aesthetic characteristic of early scandinavian functionalism.
