An expression of pure grace and feminine elegance, perfect for enhancing consoles, bookcases, or coffee tables. This rare pair of statuettes, depicting bathers or classical deities, represents a refined example of mid-twentieth-century decorative sculpture, combining the allure of artistic fusion with the prestige of noble materials.
Subject and Style: The two figures portray young girls in harmonious, classical poses. The modeling highlights the softness and delicacy of their bodies, enriched by a sophisticated interplay of color contrasts: the flesh is finished in silver, while the soft drapes, flowing hair, and small amphora are embellished with luminous gold accents.
Material and Finish: The sculptures are crafted from heavy brass with a two-tone finish (silver and gold). They rest on elegant cubic plinths of richly veined light onyx marble. The structure is completed by a brass base with embossed leaf motifs. The "ACF MOD. DEP." mark is stamped under the base, and the original label from the historic Pozzoni Jewelry and Goldsmiths in Lecco is still present.
